Fox News’ Todd Starnes said on Friday that Hillary Clinton is “a puppet master.”
In a wide-ranging interview with “The Five,” Starns said that he had never been a Clinton supporter and that he has “never seen anything quite like” the media-driven “war on the press” that Clinton and her allies have been waging.
Starns, a longtime Clinton supporter who has been on the air since the 2008 election, said he thought Clinton’s media-induced attacks on the media were counterproductive and that she should be focused on what she wants to do.
He said she has a good sense of timing and that the media is just trying to get her elected.
He added that he thought it was important for Americans to understand that the press is not a legitimate entity.
“I think she’s a puppet master,” he said.
“She’s trying to win elections and to have a puppet on her side and to take control of what happens in this country, which is, I think, a dangerous thing.”
“I don’t think that she’s an honest broker,” he continued.
“I don, I don’t.
And I think she thinks she’s doing the right thing, but it’s not true.”
Starnes also criticized Clinton for her role in pushing the Affordable Care Act through Congress and said she should have been held accountable for the legislation that was passed by the House and the Senate.
“You’re the one that passed that,” he explained.
“You’re not the one who made the decisions to pass that.”
